Cerinthe

A wonderfully quirky, cool-season annual grown for its silvery-blue foliage, arching stems, and nodding bell-shaped blooms that shift from soft purple to deep indigo as they mature. Cerinthe brings moody color, unusual texture, and a little “what in the enchanted cottage garden is that?” energy to bouquets, which is exactly why we love it. The plants are easygoing, pollinator-friendly, and especially beautiful in spring arrangements, where their dusky tones play nicely with pastels, brights, and all the frilly overachievers of the season. Harvest when the bells are well-colored and stems are firm, then tuck them into fresh arrangements for movement, contrast, and a bit of garden drama. Excellent for fresh cuts, pollinators, cottage gardens, and cool-season color. Annual.
