Agrostemma
A graceful, old-fashioned annual with tall, airy stems and silky blooms that bring a wildflower feel to the cutting garden. Agrostemma, also called corn cockle produces charming, open-faced flowers in soft shades of pink, lavender, purple, and white, depending on the variety, with long stems that add movement and a little meadow magic to bouquets. It’s easy to grow, happiest in full sun, and especially lovely planted in generous drifts where it can sway around like it owns the place. Harvest when blooms are just beginning to open for the best vase life. Excellent for fresh cuts, cottage gardens, pollinator patches, and anyone who likes flowers that look effortless but still very much showed up prepared. Annual. Open-pollinated.
